    My dad, Jeffery Clement Morissette. Doctor of Osteopathy. Triple-boarded physician. Family practice, emergency medicine, radiology. Specialty in mammography. He wanted to write a book about it, ‘The Myth’. He never told me what it was going to be about. I always wondered.Before that? USAF Pararescue. Martial arts instructor, teaching Mun Moo Kwan. The 97th in the world. The reason I am who I am. Someone who fought like hell. Challenged systems. Never took bullshit from anyone. Cared more about people than about structures.Then, this last year? He got sick. And things here got bad.
  4. What Happened:
    I ran away to Ohio chasing what I thought was safety in numbers. Instead, I was doubted. I hit rock bottom. They pushed me to go see the new Tron movie. Heard me say that Tron meant something to me and my dad. I have to assume they thought that would make me 'better'. And...in the theatre? He called me. I reconciled with my dad, realized that he was still in my corner. Always in my corner. After that call, I realized I had a home to go back to.
  5. The Aftermath:
    I'm back in San Diego, caring for my dad, struggling with everything. But I'm surviving. All of this aside... I just want him happy, safe, and comfortable. He deserves peace.
